Elisabete R. Teixeira

Elisabete Teixeira is an Young researcher at the University of Minho, she is Environmental Engineering with a PhD in Civil Engineering. At this moment, she is the Coordinator of a European Horizon project, NBSINFRA - Citynature-Based Solutions Integration to Local Urban Infrastructure Protection For A Climate Resilient Society (https://nbsinfra.eu/). Her field of competencies involves the sustainable performance of eco-efficient low-cement concrete, life cycle assessment, sustainability assessment, risk analysis, protection of critical infrastructures and nature-based solutions. She authored 26 ISI Journal papers (8 as first author), with a scopus h-index of 14. Until now, she was the supervisor of 5 master dissertations, she is the supervisor of 5 PhD theses (on-going), and supervisor of tthree research fellow. She is a team member and Lecture in the NoRISK, an International Master on Risk Assessment and Management of Civil Infrastructures (recently aproved for funding, and with the first edition 2024/2025). At national level, he is a member of the Order of Engineers, and belongs to the Portuguese Group to Support the Discussion of the European Horizon (2021-2027) (GNAD). At international level, she is a member of PIARC work cycle 2024-2027 "3.4 Environmental Sustainability in Road Infrastructure and Transport" and of Technical Commission 1.4 "Planning for the Resilience of Road Networks - Climate Change and other Risks", is Technical Secretary of Commission 8 of FIB (Durability) "International Organization of Structural Concrete" (between 2021-2025), and is also a member of TG5.8 - resilience of existing structures of IABSE. She is a topic advisory member of Crystals (MDPI) and academic editor of Advances in Civil Engineering, Hindawi.
