Farrokh Taherkhani
Dr. Farrokh Taherkhani has worked as a research staff at the Helmut Schmidt University-Hamburg (HSU) since April, 2021 till Februray, 2023 at the Institute of Materials Technology with focus on cold spraying of Ni-based superalloy as his project/Ph.D topic.
He has been working since February, 2024 at the Chair of Steel Structures of HSU as postdoctoral research associate and teaching assistant to conduct research on hot-dip galvanizing as a corrosion protection system for Steel Hydraulic Structures in Germany. He and his colleagues have also submitted an approved research proposal regarding the Cold Spray Additive Manufacturing of Structural Steel Components in Civil Engineering applications.
He has studied materials science engineering at the technical university of Amirkabir (AUT), Iran. Afterwards, he did research on metallurgical topics in different positions in industry as well as academic sectors. Dr. Taherkhani has concluded his study at Helmut Schmidt University Hamburg and earned his Ph.D degree in 2024 from the faculty of mechanical and civil engineering of HSU.
