Policy and Technological Advances in Underground Energy Storage in China: A Post-Energy Law Review (118772)

This review article examines the development of underground energy storage (UES) policies and technologies in China following the enactment of the Energy Law in 2025. It highlights the milestones achieved in UES, the supportive policies issued by national ministries and provincial governments, and the challenges and future directions for the sector. The article concludes that UES is becoming a critical component of China's energy transition, driven by strong policy support and technological innovation.
